Set above Avon Gorge this hotel overlooks Brunel's famous suspension bridge. It has a large terrace for al fresco dining with excellent views. Located in Clifton the hotel is about 2 miles from Bristol city center which can be reached on foot. A wide range of restaurants are available within a few minutes' walk. Avon Gorge Hotel is home to the White Lion Bar. It offers modern British cuisine and is a good meeting place. There is also free Wi-Fi in public areas. Some bedrooms face the gorge and others look towards Clifton village. Each room also has satellite TV and facilities for making tea and coffee.

Very good, re-furbished room with a great view of the bridge. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful interior and views, the...

Liked: Beautifully decorated and styled room, plus the shower was lovely!
Disliked: The food that came from room service. Bland mac n cheese followed by oil soaked churros with dreadful chocolate sauce…we went to bed hungry. Credit to the hotel reception staff who immediately apologised and refunded the puddings.

Liked: Lovely breakfast good variety of choice. Great view. Bedroom classic nice and clean. Bottle water and good variety of teas and coffee.
Disliked: Poor lighting in bathroom and lighting at bedside could be better.
