Surrounded by woodland Aviemore Youth Hostel is located on the boundary of the Cairngorm National Park and a short walk from Aviemore town center offering an ideal location for outdoor activities. The youth hostel provides a good range of facilities including dorms and private rooms a well-equipped self-catering kitchen a spacious dining area a large drying room and ample parking for cars and buses. There is also a large open-plan lounge which provides stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains and surrounding woodland. Towels area available to hire at a small surcharge. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities. Located just 9 miles from the Cairngorm Mountain funicular and its snowsports area Aviemore Youth Hostel provides an ideal base for year-round activities including hillwalking climbing snowsports mountain biking pony trekking watersports and fishing. Most activities take place on the Rothiemurchus Estate which features paths through the Caledonian Pine forest. Hosteling Scotland is a charity and membership organization. Liked: Everything was great. I marked down one point because of the bunk beds. It would have been better all singles or single and double.

Liked: Was abs superb..Big kitchen..everything there you need, incl free coffee and tea and constant hot water. Beds comfy....and next to the A9 underpass with a reasonable climb to top of the hill overlooking Aviemore. Super staff too. Thoroughly recommend. Clean!

A really nice stay in...

Liked: The location was amazing, the room was nice, the beds are ok, I got to experience the bunkbed was on a soft side and a bit noisy and rickety. The single bed in the private room is much betterSuper friendly staff!
