Surrounded by woodland Aviemore Youth Hostel is located on the boundary of the Cairngorm National Park and a short walk from Aviemore town center offering an ideal location for outdoor activities. The youth hostel provides a good range of facilities including dorms and private rooms a well-equipped self-catering kitchen a spacious dining area a large drying room and ample parking for cars and buses. There is also a large open-plan lounge which provides stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains and surrounding woodland. Towels area available to hire at a small surcharge. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities. Located just 9 miles from the Cairngorm Mountain funicular and its snowsports area Aviemore Youth Hostel provides an ideal base for year-round activities including hillwalking climbing snowsports mountain biking pony trekking watersports and fishing. Most activities take place on the Rothiemurchus Estate which features paths through the Caledonian Pine forest. Hosteling Scotland is a charity and membership organization. Liked: Microwave for Popcorn, the internet was good enough to watch Harry Potter.
Disliked: The instructions weren't clear.

Liked: Very clean and comfortable. There are multiple showers and toilets so we didn't have to wait even when the hostel was fully occupied. The staff is amazing! Very helpful and polite :)

Liked: Big kitchen and dinning room. Big shower and toilets. Hester was very hot and was on all night which is very rare. Bed is a very comfortable. But if the person is very tall then the duvet could be not long enough.
Disliked: Very Thin walls. People walking in the hallway can be heard and felt very clear.
