Liked: The cleanest motel we have stayed in a while,a comfortable bed and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was pretty weak, but I understand it's a budget motel

Nice hotel, terrible customer service....
Liked: The front desk person was friendly, informative and efficient. The building seemed pretty new and rooms were modern albeit smaller than I expected. Tv was great with lots of channel options.
Disliked: When asked to get a glass of water, I ran the sink cold tap and it went from warm to very hot, hotter than the water from the hot water tap. The water in the toilet tank was hot as well. The same problem existed in the room that we were going to move to so we decided to stay in the room we were set up in. All this took about an hours’ time (I missed more than a period of my hockey game). We were also afraid to have a shower. The next morning the problem persisted although not as severe. The front desk advised that we talk to the manager on duty the next morning (Lily) who told us she would have the general manager (Rajesh Mir) call to resolve our request for some sort of compensation stating that because we booked thru booking.com they couldn’t provide a refund. I called the hotel 4 days later after no call was forthcoming and was advised (by Lily again) that he was sick and would call after Christmas, but no call came. I reached out again 2 weeks later ahead of our trip northward and talked with Audrey who took my number and promptly called me back with an offer from her manager of $20 (against a US$140.66 booking charge) but only if I could provide her a PayPal account number. This would have accounted for about 14% of what we had paid. I refused the offer that I felt inadequate (and I don’t use PayPal) and was told that there was nothing else that could be done. I had suggested an IHG hotel gift certificate that I could use on the way home but that was a non-starter. So, still unresolved. I am a very disappointed and unhappy customer of booking.com an Avid Hotels!!!
