Lovely stay, for a reasonable...

Liked: Hotel is in a really convenient, well connected with Metro, location. The reception is available 24 seven. Rooms are just big enough for sleep and have comfortable beds. I also liked that they had twin beds, included private bathroom, and Wi-Fi.I also appreciated the abundance of hot water for a shower after long and cold day.
Disliked: While the room had many things that one would need, there was only one electrical outlet available for both of us. That meant we could not charge more than one device at one time, and there was no extender provided. I would propose to the hotel to either include one, or inform the guest to bring their own.

Exceptional

Decent value for price, but...

Liked: Location was pretty good. There was a church up on a hill nearby. Metro station and train station also pretty close. But it is next to a somewhat noisy road. Based on my explorations of the city and the area this seems to be everywhere, so not really faulting the hotel for this. Paris is apparently loud. I got a room on the top floor, and could see the Eiffel tower in the distance. Especially at night it was a nice view. On Sunday there was a spontaneous free market on the pedestrian area next to the hotel. Pretty sure that's a regular Sunday thing. So if you are into flea markets this may be a great place to stay.
Disliked: I don't know what they were thinking with that sheet and duvet combination. They kept slipping apart during the night and I woke up multiple times to fight my way back under the sheet. I expect they don't wash the duvet after each guest, and just wash the sheet. So it was a strange solution that kind of grossed me out. Pillow was also very strange. One small, and very soft one tucked under the sheet, and one large and way too hard one as a separate, normal pillow. Neither was comfortable. Having to leave the key every time is also a very old fashioned and strange system. Personally found it annoying. If you take that as an opportunity to chat to the receptionist you may find it charming. But the worst part was how stingy they were with toiletries. Especially the toilet paper(!). I get that you want to make a profit, but this is a bit much. I don't think I ever stayed at a hotel before that didn't provide enough toilet paper. And I was out for the majority of the day, every single day. Out of curiosity I even checked in a supermarket in the area. A normal size toilet paper roll would have cost about 1 Euro. For a room that I paid 420 Euros for for 4 nights, could they have not provided me with about 1-2 Euro worth of toilet paper? Instead they gave a roll about 1/3rd the size that was not even close to enough. After the second night I had to ask for more toilet paper at the reception. Which they gave without issues, great. I just found it strange that at the same time they cleaned the room daily. But just kept leaving me with less and less toilet paper.

Magical, what an awe inspiring...

Liked: Very clean and comfortable, was exactly what we needed as a base to explore Paris. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Paris
Disliked: The only thing that would make it better....a kettle and some tea and coffee making facilities in the room....or even a machine downstairs you could pay for?! We just love a cup of tea :D
