For the main part it...

Liked: The food both at breakfast and for our evening meal was excellent. We found the staff very friendly and the communal lounge off the bar was a nice place to relax and chat both before and after our meal.
Disliked: The shower was very cramped and it was very awkward to get in and out of. One or two of my colleagues referred to being woken up by the noise of traffic outside on the main road through Nairn to Inverness.

Italian cuisine and old-fashioned charm

Liked: What stands out about the Aurora Hotel and Italian Restaurant is the charm and hospitality of the owners and the deliciousness of the food that they serve. We ate dinner both nights in the restaurant because it was just so good. I didn't expect fabulous Italian food in Scotland but I was happy to indulge in it. They were just a capable of making a proper Scottish breakfast as they were making tagliatelle with porcini for dinner. It is a friendly, old-fashioned place with the unexpected bonus of Italian food and charming hosts.
