Liked: Excellent reception service. Excellent clean room. Very quiet.
Disliked: No bar service , that's a disappointment . It's definitely a huge loss of profit as there is no bar service from autumn to early summer . Also no restaurant or no breakfast available . No elevator, it's painful to carry luggage to the 4th floor . Please invest in larger and softer bath towels. Just small towels and very hard . It's a 30 minute walk to Rue St Jean. Liked: Location was central. The kitchen had lots of pots, pans and utensils to prepare meals and was kept clean. Sponges and dish towels were replaced daily and soap was filled. Easy daily bath towel exchange. Rooms were entered daily to fluff the mattress cover and occasionally sweep the main floor (but not under the bed). There is an outlet and light in each bed and a bed curtain, although they were a bit dirty and tattered.
Disliked: Noisy bedroom set up. Rack under the bed for your belongings rolls loudly and beds shake. Lots of people during my stay came in at 1-2 am and left at 3-4 am, so I didn’t sleep well at all. The smell of cannabis in the room was overwhelming and nauseating from other guests rolling cannabis cigarettes in the room and leaving cannabis debris scattered in the room, not to mention their clothes stinking. Although the bar was closed for the season, the space was leased out and there was crazy loud music and holiday party until 3-4 am. In spite of moving rooms at 1 am, the music could still be heard on the 4th floor. It appears a large number of people live at this property long term, so it didn’t have a typical hostel vibe. I would not stay at this property again, personally. I stayed 6 nights and only was able to sleep about 1 night due to noise, excessive cannabis odors and night time disruptions. I ended up having to sleep during the day because the night was so noisy, so it negatively impacted my entire trip. It appears that management seeks feedback from guests about maintenance issues because they don’t walk the property and notice items that are not clean or not functioning as they should. Once issues were brought to their attention, feedback was given that it was resolved, however I’m a guest and not an employee to walk the property and report maintenance issues.

Liked: Small sitting area in the 4-dorm. Many difrent shower options.
Disliked: The check-in started exactly at the time stated eventhough the staff would have had time before. Because of the there was a huge queue starting the check-in.Small corridor in the room it was hard to open the locker sometimes.
