I’m glad I chose this...

Liked: The staff were excellent and inviting. As a culinary professional, I was very glad to see the amount of herbs and spices available on the kitchen. That is very hard to find. They have a wonderful supply and a working kitchen. The staff were excellent too. They were welcoming, inclusive, and I don’t even speak French. The city is also easily walkable. The metros are also wonderful.
Disliked: I can’t think of anything, honestly.

Exceptional

Liked: The dining room is equipped with everything.
Disliked: I liked all services at Alternative Stay, also that there are activities for travelers.

Can recommend

Liked: It's round the downtown. Cool place. Would be good selection
Disliked: No lift

Excellent value, safe & secure...

Liked: Location. Amazing staff that was friendly, helpful, and hospitable. The residents were quiet, polite, and friendly.Was my first experience in a hostel and at age 66 was made to feel welcome.Bed was comfortable and clean.
Disliked: I forgot my shampoo and a towel.Parking is a problem in Montreal. The Hotel Intercontinental on rue Antoine had parking garage (6 blocks away).

Superb

Liked: Cosy private room, really comfy bed. Great location, nice staff and good shared space.
Disliked: Heating was difficult to control.

Disappointing

Liked: The price is fair
Disliked: - male stuffs come to check female dorm regularly while we are in it. - hot water is not stable -bed squeaking all the time!! Can’t really sleep well.

Quick visit to Montreal

Liked: The property was clean, beds very comfortable and in a good location.
Disliked: Lots of stairs! We ended up leaving after the first night forgoing the remainder 3 nights due to inconsiderate roommates phones going off multiple times at 6am / roommates sorting threw their luggage and packing up very early in the morning but that’s not a reflection of the property itself, it was just challenging to get a good night sleep. Next time I would opt for a private room.

Liked: Perfect location in old Montreal, close to the orange line metro and to a lot of cute shops and restaurants. The hostel is cute, the staff is friendly and they helped us finding a close parking lot to park our car over the weekend. Amazing value for the price!
