Liked: Helpful staff, cheery and professional. A nice balance of tradition .Hgh class and yet a freindly family atmosphere. Quiet location with easy access from city centre.
Disliked: An evening meal was offered which was very welcome, However the food, which in my case was battered haddock with chips, was let down by undercooked batter and third rate chips and peas. It was shame because the haddock itself was good. One other problem with the food, was the over generous portions, which could in fact have been halved or served two, and instead of me leaving fifty per cent of it uneaten, a thing which I have never ever done before.The state of the room was good with adequate facilties.oke Close inspection of the shower cubicle provoked a very minor observation that soon refubishment might be required.Black marks on the sealant and tiles and the showerhead had a loose or broken part. But overall. for the price of the room these were very minor faults and every thing was clean ,tidy and to be recommendedas a good place to stay!..

A comfortable stay in a...

Liked: Room was ideal for my requirements as a solo traveller. The classic breakfast was great, as were the bar meals I had in the evening. I could not finish their generous portions which were of a high quality. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Very happy to recommend, indeed I will be going back again next month.
Disliked: TV in bedroom a bit dated/small.
