Great Value, But At A...

Liked: We rented 2 rooms: 1 standard room and 1 with kitchen. The standard room clearly had been renovated, so many of the items were relatively new. The room was comfortable, and we even appreciated the USB charging ports!!The location is very convenient, as it is right on the main road through Astoria. There is a 24-hour mini-mart at a Shell gasoline station within walking distance. This was very convenient.
Disliked: The room with kitchen had not yet been renovated, so we were able to smell, or rather, absorb all of the accumulated carpet and wall stains and odors over the past few decades. We had to buy Lysol, candles, and air fresheners just so we could handle the stench throughout the evening. The bed in the main bedroom caused back pain to one of my daughters.Additionally, the only reason we rented two rooms was because I was forced to rent another room during check-in. When I booked the room online, I specified 5 adults, and the app allowed me to book the room without any warnings that the limit was 4 adults. I completely understood the need for an additional room, and I booked one. But, I was disappointed that the motel did not even offer the slightest discount for the additional room, despite the fact that their app was defective.
