Lovely clean, spacious room, with...

Liked: The room was very well presented, clean and spacious, with plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, if staying for longer than a weekend, and the staff were very polite and friendly The hotel was within a 20 minute walk of the city centre either across Jesus Green or along by the River Cam. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and there was a good choice of cold food, such as cereals, croissants, yoghurt etc
Disliked: Unfortunately, my room, no.12, was at the front of the building, facing onto Chesterton Road, and as this is quite a busy road into Cambridge there was a lot of traffic noise late into the night and starting very early in the morning. The room was also far too hot, and despite trying many different settings on the radiator valve, the radiators remained very hot to touch. The secondary glazing sliding windows could be opened, but I couldn't manage the sash windows.

Convenient location and pleasant staff

Liked: Bed was comfy. Staff were pleasant. Good value for the short walk to the city centre.
Disliked: Room could have been a little cleaner, there was limescale build up on the shower head but other than that the room seemed fine apart from the occasional cobweb. Also the bathroom was tiny and the room on the photo is not the room we got.

Convenient, clean and welcoming

Liked: Excellent location with easy road access and ample free parking. Short walk across the park to the city centre. Canal -side pub serving good food and beer only a few hundred yards walk. The hotel is simply furnished but very clean and has welcoming and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

Over all convenient and generally...

Liked: It was a nice big room, with a big comfy bed and pillows, the curtains blocked the sunlight so was good for sleeping. Breakfast was OK, not amazing or anything but was enough and staff were really nice. It's central'ish location was very convinient for our needs.
Disliked: Our room had a tiny bathroom, I'm not a small person,so we payed extra for a bigger bed, but I could not fit in the bathroom, even brushing my teeth i was hanging out the door way to use the sink. Dated interior and mould and rot around the windows. (but beleive they are planing extention work).

Liked: Perfect for walking into town. Breakfast was really good catering for all special diets, I was delighted, served in a beautiful room by friendly efficient staff. The car park was easy to get into and we were able to leave car a while after we had checked out. We visit Cambridge a lot so we will be returning.
Disliked: Lots of stairs to our room.
