good hostel

Liked: Has a fully facilitated kitchen, microwave, oven. Good location, large cantine. 24 hour reception. Sheets were clean. The room was satisfactory. Card lock doesnt make too loud noise.
Disliked: There were outlets for usb charging but were practically unusable. 5% whole night. no european electric wall outlet. The hostel needs renovation. paint dried. Just looks old. in showerroom too few hooks, no place to put toiletrybag.

Would not recommend. Discusted that...

Liked: Simple fast booking via booking.comSimple fast check-inStaff at check in courteous and pleasant.
Disliked: Embarrasing if this is what my state (ROI) considers okay and condones and allows for paying guests, tourist to my country to accept even at EURO 60 a night such below par accomodation.Stayed in Stalag 12 (room12) bunk beds ( 6 beds) in the size of of an average 3 bed box room - e.g. only 2 people at a time could change in available floor space at anyone time. The 'ensuite' requires you to be a contortionist if you wish to use the WC - squeeze your left leg under the washhandbasin to sit on the throne. Its basically a wood framed partion installed afer original room,The tiled floor in ensuite soaking wet (awaiting bacterial infection) as no air extraction fan to take shower condensation or floor drainage - and that was only after one residant had taken a shower before me. Filthy and soaking towled shower mat on floor. For top bunk people - you need to stand on bottom bunk support bars to plug in a phone charger/turn on your courtesy light/plug in your charger, which ends up with bottom bunk occupant having your feet in their face whilst you do so. Otherwise you need to or climb up on the bunk to plug in your phone charger and climb back down. No fan air extraction in room (never mind AirCon) in room so odour was slighlty awsome in the morning with 6 grown men...And all for 60 euro - how NOT to treat people or encourage tourism?? Never again- Look elsewhere. I am going to provide my review to the Irish Tourist Industry reps. This place type of place is giving the state a bad name and destroying any VAT reduction to quality establishments.
