I wish we could have...

Liked: The breakfast was delicious and the chef was fun to chat with. Very friendly and personal service.
Disliked: Nothing. It was perfect.

Comfortable, welcoming and unique!

Liked: This is a perfect little quaint B and B! Clean and comfortable. Heidi, the innkeeper, was so welcoming, upbeat and helpful. It’s worth going just to meet her!! The conservatory, where breakfast is served is just beautiful! Great location, central to everything. Highly recommend!

A funky b&b in a...

Liked: For breakfast, I chose sausage, and was served half a sausage, sliced lengthwise. Very odd. What did they do with the other half? Also requested decaf coffee, and the breakfast lady acted put out by the request, forgot to make it, and only after a second request, finally brought decaf when we were finished breakfast. Decaf coffee isn't so unusual a request. Shouldn't have thrown her for a loop!
Disliked: Mattress in the Ann room needs to be replaced.Many flights of stairs. Not recommended if you have mobility issues.

We had a nice time...

Liked: Love the old house! The conservatory was nice and the first two nights Heidi put out some wine but the third night she did not. Location is perfection. The jacuzzi tub was great!
Disliked: I think Havisham suite was modernized in a weird sort of way. Would be amazing if the decor and vibe was true to the age of the house. I’ve stayed in some B&B’s that honored the age of the place. I feel any suite with a jacuzzi tub should absolutely have bath robes for guest, this is the first B&B I have experienced that didn’t. Heidi was super friendly but we rarely saw her again after checking in. We put our “please make up room” tag on the door and no one ever provided housekeeping of any kind until late pm on our second day. The inn provided one packet of bath salt for the tub, when we asked housekeeping for more he said he didn’t have anything like that. We ran out of TP and my partner had to go buy more because no one was around and we hadn’t had housekeeping services as stated above. I realized after leaving I could have reached out to the owner over the phone however, I don’t think guests should need to as they should be able to access this services. Breakfast was okay, Eileen was friendly but didn’t leave us to eat our breakfast alone. We were celebrating out 10th anniversary and wanted quiet alone time together. Eileen recommended way too many things for us to do and after we left the inn for the day to see the mansions she sent us an additional text with another event. I don’t know why but I felt uncomfortable that she went to our file and got our number and text me. It just felt weird. No Inn I’ve ever stayed at sent me a personal text like that. I am sure it was intended to be friendly. Breakfast was very limited and we opted to go out to breakfast after the first morning.
