Liked: We had a superior king-size room with an excellent bed
Disliked: This hotel just lacks ambience and atmosphere. It's famous but we think it is resting on its laurels and not focusing on how to really promote it's Art Deco heritage e. g a 1930's style lounge is missing. Also, a lack of visible staff to make it feel warm and welcoming. It just felt ordinary!

Liked: Reception staff very good, helpful and responsive.Rooms clean and comfortable.Ambience and feel of spaces very nice.Art deco flavour exceptional.
Disliked: Air conditioning noise in bedroom.

Good period style hotel. We...

Liked: Ideal location. Across the street from the Art Deco Visitor Centre. Has period style rooms which are very comfortable.
Disliked: The information on facilities available is hard to find. They have restaurants in the same building under different management so don't publicise them. They said there was no breakfast available so we went across the road where we had a good choice. Later in our stay they put out a sign for inhouse breakfast! They also have offstreet car parking available-when we booked they said on parking. Perhaps they meant onsite.
