This place should have done...

Liked: The room had a comfortable bed. Plenty of packaged snacks and drinks in the lobby.
Disliked: No person working the front desk, every interaction was over the phone, including check-in. Items left in wardrobe from last guest. TV was difficult to work. Refrigerator did not work. No hot water in shower, however, management did allow us to switch rooms. Towels were present, but not wash cloths. Heater worked well, but leaked water after 30 minutes of use. Limited parking spaces, and the access driveway is on a blind curve, so an adventure on every exit and entry. This should have been a cute and quaint small Inn. But instead the stay fell short on many basics I expect at a weekend stay.

Liked: I loved the look and the location. The lobby had snacks, movies and other amenities.

Great stay, and we'd like...

Liked: Breakfast was continental style, and available 24 hrs/day. Plenty of free bottled water and sodas in addition to breakfast items like bagels, coffee and juices. The staff was excellent! Very accomodating.
Disliked: The room was comfortable but very small, without much space to unpack. We stayed in two different rooms, which each had their strong points. Bath fixtures are old, and one shower was difficult to regulate temperature. Outside premises were nice but walking surfaces were uneven and stairs were steep, so be careful.

Superb

I would definitely stay here...

Liked: We were attending a wedding at lake arrowhead resort so location was perfect! The property was absolutely adorable! Walking distance to the village. Loved the idea of picking out a dvd, popcorn and snacks from lobby for our evening. Our host was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and comfortable.
Disliked: Bed was a bit hard.

Exceptional

Liked: Gayle, who worked the office, was the best!! She went out of her way to help us in every way. She helped carry our luggage up the steep stairs. She helped us figure out how to work the TV. She kept us as informed as she could about the fire raging up the mountain, and she was just a really good person in general! We loved our stay there!
