Great location, large room, basic...

Liked: Lovely location, grand old guesthouse, great for west end attractions. Nice friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Good big family room, beds were comfy and the room was warm and bright and pretty clean. Loved the high ceilings. Felt safe enough. They allowed us to leave our bags in the dining room free of charge when we went out.
Disliked: We were very lucky to get parked right outside and for free, but it's a very narrow road and I would imagine it can get a bit congested. Unsure what the off site parking is like. The room was next to the dining room and stairs and reception and the sound proofing was bad. We felt a little exposed! I think that maybe carpet might help, as the room had laminate flooring. The room itself was accessible however the small en-suite shower room may have been more challenging for guests with accessibility requirements. The windows looked out onto a brick wall, so we just kept the curtains shut. The sofa in the room, while a lovely touch, had clearly seen much better days. This didn't bother me for one night. I would not have paid more than I did for it however it was a good price (£62).

Great location but don't expect...

Liked: Fantastic location for us close to a wedding venue.
Disliked: Double room and bathroom smaller than expected. No common areas. The breakfast was very basic, processed food only, more what you would expect at a bed and breakfast accommodation.

Disliked: The interior of the room look tired, needs a fresh coat of paint on the walls and new carpets.
