In a magnificent baronial-style mansion Ardanaiseig Hotel offers 240 acres of wooded grounds a restaurant and elegant rooms. The hotel is located in Kilchrenan on the banks of Loch Awe. With a contemporary menu the restaurant also enjoys views of the loch. Guests can also sample afternoon teas or take a picnic to the private island. A very relaxing stay. Really...

Liked: Excellent breakfast and evening meal.Hotel is full of character in a beautiful setting . Very comfortable bed , good shower, we loved the room we were in.Excellent service from staff.

Disliked: All amazing. If we had an issue (damaged bed) & the staff went over and above to resolve.

It was a bit dear,...

Liked: Location and food fine, price a bit high
Disliked: The "garden" shown on the road atlas was totally derelict. This was a big factor in choosing it, asit was a garden new to our knowledge, not really the fault of the hotel, but the map-makers got the idea from somewhere.

Exceptional

Liked: A beautiful hotel full of character but a really relaxed atmosphere. . We loved our room which had a great view of the Loch. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

A beautiful location slightly spoilt...

Liked: Situation, gardens and good food. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Rather run down, tired decor and too many cobwebs.

Loved our stay

Liked: Very quirky. Full of character. Lots of unusual furniture and ornaments. Staff decorated it for Halloween. Food was good. Yummy breakfast. Comfy bed. Good selection of bathroom lotions and potions. Staff were very nice. Cat very friendly. Saw a deer in the woods. Lovely view over the loch. Lovely walks through the grounds and woods
Disliked: Would have liked the fire lit in the bar. Garden needs work done..it could be really lovely. We needed a machete to get through the bamboo.
