Liked: I loved our room. The decor was gorgeous and the bathroom was bigger than I thought it'd be. The cookie they gave when we arrived was delicious. The staff was also very welcoming and the check-in and check-out went smoothly
Disliked: The plug-in on the stereo to connect our iPod wasn't working.

Striving to be antique

Liked: A few staff, esp. in the rather huge bar which sort of dominates the whole layout of the hotel, were extremely kind and helpful. Above all the French-speaker (=canadienne). Merci.
Disliked: Strange and awkward entrance - very steep staircase at a weird angle, at the side of the hotel (a steep side street). No staff on hand to help customers struggling with luggage. A curious dark cave-like den, rather deep downstairs, is the place where the somewhat unimpressive breakfast was served.

Liked: The breakfast was quite adequate. The hotel room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The staff was responsive. The location is within walking distance of Harborview Medical Center.

Great historic hotel

Liked: The old world charm, comfy beds and exceptional staff.
Disliked: It took an hour and a half to get our car from valet parking. It was chaotic and truly a mess. We were standing outside waiting all that time. For a valet only hotel you would believe their system for car retrieval would be a well oiled machine.
