Liked: I loved our room. The decor was gorgeous and the bathroom was bigger than I thought it'd be. The cookie they gave when we arrived was delicious. The staff was also very welcoming and the check-in and check-out went smoothly
Disliked: The plug-in on the stereo to connect our iPod wasn't working.

Better than expected

Liked: Sharon at the front desk. She went out of her way to help get my phone back by calling it until someone answered. Breakfast was a bit better than the average free hotel breakfast too.

Good downtown hotel.

Liked: Location was outstanding. 10 minute walk to the waterfront and most everything downtown. The hotel architecture was really unique, and the rooms were nice and spacious even for 3-4 people. They offer valet parking for about $55 which worked great for dowtown Seattle overnight.
Disliked: The sink was half clogged and very slow to drain. The shower curtain doesn't reach the floor so a lot of water leaks out of the shower. The bathroom door handle fell off as well.

Striving to be antique

Liked: A few staff, esp. in the rather huge bar which sort of dominates the whole layout of the hotel, were extremely kind and helpful. Above all the French-speaker (=canadienne). Merci.
Disliked: Strange and awkward entrance - very steep staircase at a weird angle, at the side of the hotel (a steep side street). No staff on hand to help customers struggling with luggage. A curious dark cave-like den, rather deep downstairs, is the place where the somewhat unimpressive breakfast was served.

Good Solid Bet in Seattle

Liked: The breakfast was quite adequate. The hotel room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The staff was responsive. The location is within walking distance of Harborview Medical Center.
