Liked: The location was perfect for our needs. We were in Ottawa for Winterlude and this location was easy walking distance to many activities, the skateway, a wonderful selection of restaurants, including Chinatown, and for all that it was still very quiet
Disliked: The noisy icemaking machine just outside our room.

Liked: Great location, friendly staff and comfy beds.
Disliked: Very little hot water.

An easy going relaxed stay

Liked: We loved the location of the hotel, but more specifically the staff was very attentive, professional and lovely, and the room was very cozy and the bed and pillows so comfortable!
Disliked: The only thing that could be an issue was the AC system to control the temperature of the room that was very noisy and we didn’t know how to adjust it. But to be fair we also didn’t ask for help or any info on it from the staff as we fall sleep very easily

Central location to downtown and...

Liked: Central to downtown Ottawa, which is quiet in the evenings, weekends and holidays. Clean faciities and well-stocked gym.
Disliked: The parking lot is a bit awkward as you have to walk out of the building and down a ramp. I was worried for my mother-in-law, who is a senior, as it was dark and icy. However, there is a rail next to the wall that can be used. Not the best set up but there was ample parking and good security. The gym was also open really late in the morning, whereas most hotel gyms are open by 7 am. This was inconveient for us when we wanted to leave early.The bedroom lighting was also very oddly set up. There were no dim soft lights that could be used next to the bed, only extremely bright ones. There was no microwave available or fridge.

Liked: Right in the middle of downtown
Disliked: The bathroom was freezing.The parking had a maximum height of 5’8”, so an ordinary minivan won’t fit, hence no parking.The A/C was super noisy. Even the noise from the AC FROM other rooms was unbearable.It was too hot, I couldn’t sleep, even with the hearing off at -20C.Besides that, it is need of some minor repairs, as the furniture and carpets look old and used.I really hated it.
