Overall, this was a very...

Liked: Excellent location to explore Bath. Bed was comfy and bathroom had both a shower and a full bath.
Disliked: Black mold present around base of shower cubicle. Shower could not be fully turned off, dripping constantly. Air conditioning/Heater when turned on made a disgusting foul water type smell suggesting that the unit was way over due a service. When room was made up, damp towels were folded up and presented on the bed.Room was sorely lacking in storage/hanging space which meant for two people and a 4 night stay, we had in part to live out of our suitcases. Two days before our stay, Apex emailed us to advise the pool was not working. This was reinforced by a notice at reception saying so when we checked in. However, this was fixed during our stay but no-one advised us of this fact, either by the hotel staff, or via email. The bar was inundated with small flies (fruit flies?) flying around the bar serving area. There were dozens of them. Some followed us to our seating area and I had to place a cover over my beer to stop them enjoying my tipple too. I rather expect this in the summer, in the garden, not in a 4 star hotel bar.Despite paying in full at time of booking, I received numerous follow up emails chasing me for payment. Despite me emailing Apex direct to advise this with their response saying this issue was fixed, I continue to receive them, both during and post stay! I am now at 10 payment request reminder emails!

Liked: Great Central location on bus routes. Excellent leisure centre with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Large clean comfortable room. Pleasant reception staff.
Disliked: All good but surprised prices comparable with London
