Good location and staff

Liked: Size of the room and reception and breakfast. The reception staff and others we interacted with were really nice and helpful. Location is good, but in Berlin it is challenging to find a place that is not undergoing renovation
Disliked: The room isn't cleaned or the trash emptied unless this is booked. Understandable since it's a huge place. Even cleaning is very half done with some dry food pieces in some corners. The door (even with soft auto close) shut rather loudly and at 1 and 2 am we kept hearing doors closing shut quite loudly. The soft close doesn't work and it woke us up multiple times. Fortunately our kids didn't wake up. The curtains also don't close completely to make it completely dark in the night. There was always a little gap, whichever way we tried. Wheelchair and stroller access is from the parking space.

Liked: The bed was big enough; however, the pillow was not good.
Disliked: The common kitchen wasn't good. There were fridges and microwaves, but it barely had forks/knives to use. Also, the kitchen wasn't really clean.

A great stay

Liked: Great hostel, met our needs very well. Clean, bright triple room (twin and bunk beds). Good open bar reception area with friendly buzz to it. Great for young people, families and oldies. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food. Would definitely stay here again.
