Absolutely Disgusting – Stay Away!

Liked: This place was TERRIBLE. The moment we walked into the room, there was an unpleasant smell lingering in the air. After some investigating, we found it was coming from the fridge—which, on top of smelling bad, wasn’t even working. We told reception, and their first response was to “give it 10-15 minutes.” I had to mention the smell again before they finally said they’d send someone to take a look.A cleaner eventually came, poked around for a bit, and decided the fridge needed to be replaced. That whole process took two hours. While we were stuck waiting, we noticed just how gross the rest of the room was. The sink had hair and gunk in it like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, there was some dried-up spill (maybe coffee?) on the wall, sticky patches on the carpet, something nasty down the side of the chair, hair and stains on the bed, and a layer of dust and coffee grounds on the bench and all over the “clean” cups. It was honestly disgusting.Feeling completely uncomfortable, we told reception we didn’t want to stay and wanted a refund. They didn’t even question it—which tells you a lot. But even after that, it took nearly two weeks of back-and-forth with the hotel and booking.com just to get our money back.Before we officially checked out, we decided to look through more online reviews—and that’s when we found multiple people talking about bed bugs. That sealed it for us. Between the filth, the broken appliances, and now the threat of bed bugs, there was no way we were spending a night there.Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me. Total nightmare from start to finish.

Good value for money

Liked: It’s good value for money, the bus station was only few minutes walk from the hotel. We didn’t mind the commute going to Amsterdam Centraal as the public transport is efficient. Quick and easy check-in and check-out.
Disliked: We liked that we were provided with a Nespresso machine but it was quite dusty on top. The hotel can be a long commute to Amsterdam Central for some.
