Fantastic location

Liked: Great location walking distance to a number of restaurants and eateries. Reasonable sized room and bathroom. Kitchen included microwave, sink, toaster, kettle and a range of glassware and crockery
Disliked: Room configuration wasted a lot of space with an entry doorway. No cooktop

Disliked: Hosts not on site, contactable only by phone. Unreliable electronic door lock, requiring calls to owners on more than one occasion. Inadequate shower curtain causing wet floor outside. Water temperature impeded by lack of pipe insulation in both bathroom and food preparation cupboard - yes, cupboard. One bedside light only. No lounge chair(s). No daily room servicing - sheets, paper toilet rolls, etc, available by self-help from onsite laundry. Unpleasant odour on initial entry.None of the above fit the expectations of NZ motels. This NOT a 4.5-rated motel. The present owners, are not the ‘Brendon and Tina’ who have received past accolades!

Exceptional

Cozy, comfortable.

Liked: I love how comfortable and cozy this motel is. I’ve stayed here twice now and haven’t been dissatisfied. I’ll keep coming back when I am visiting Christchurch.
Disliked: Although super cozy, the motel it self is a little dated. And shower / bathroom needs an upgrade.
