Exceptional

A luxurious and relaxing stay!

Liked: From the moment you walk into the room, you could see and feel how wonderful our stay here would be!From the king sized bed, great sofa (with “footstool”), side table, good sized TV and bar fridge all set out in a very spacious room with plenty of storage space and the best bathroom - complete with a walk-in shower.The crockery supplied was clean and of a size you would expect; there was tea and coffee supplied but also hot chocolate sachets and several types of tea, perfect for those of us who don’t drink regular tea or coffee.The toiletries were lovely and the towels luxurious, so big, soft and fluffy. Shower pressure was perfect, as was the temperature.Bed was super comfortable; plenty of lighting and room to spread out. Individual air con too.And, there was a beautiful little balcony with a table and two sturdy chairs to sit and eat our meals.Ice was available for our cold drinks, a laundry if needed and a small gym.
Disliked: The only improvements I would make would to be putting a handrail in the shower as the tiles are quite slippery, especially for those of us with mobility issues, so the risk of a fall is quite significant.We also found the toilet to be a little too close to the wall, particularly if you are a “larger than life” person, as the toilet roll holder is also on that wall so we had to take the roll off whilst using the toilet to avoid it falling on the floor - there is plenty of room in the bathroom to move it across to make it more “usable” and comfortable for all guests.

Liked: Bed and sofa were very comfortable. Lovely reception staff. Easy parking. Clean and very fancy lobby. Large balcony. Will definitely be staying again when on this side of Melbourne

Nice place with potential but...

Liked: Lovely room, comfortable bed, close to shops and trams.
Disliked: Staff did not know about the affiliated recreation centre closing early for NYE. We walked down for a swim and couldn’t use the pool facility.The shower in the bathroom had awful temperature control; almost impossible to have a nice shower without it being too hot or too cold. Poor shower design also meant that water went everywhere on the whole bathroom floor.Wifi didn’t work so we couldn’t use our phone apps or watch movies on the tv using our apps.

Love the Amora!

Liked: We love this place - the lobby is so cosy and location is amazing right next to the river, tram and Bridge rd. Also really nice how the balconies have a garden outlook.
Disliked: Air Conditioning in the room was not 100% but they brought us a fan and this was great. Could have used a microwave in the room.
