Definitely recommended for NYC stay!

Liked: Great location; friendly staff; clean and spacious room size for New York City (we got a deluxe 2 double bed room).
Disliked: Could use a little bit more "counter space" to put things on, like a wider bedside table with drawers.

Impressed with the environment friendly efforts and the power switch run with the key card.

Liked: Beautiful, contemporary room.
Disliked: Continental breakfast wasn't included.

Great hotel in great location,...

Liked: The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Was within easy walking distance from many areas we wanted to visit… Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, Fifth Avenue & Central Park etc… Were a couple of subway stations within walking distance to go further afield. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Would have been great to have the option of breakfast in the morning. However are many places locally to get breakfast. The supply of tea, coffee and water was great in the mornings though. We thought it was expensive for the 3 nights but it wasn’t the most expensive and assume this was due to the time of year. However I would recommend New York at Christmas it was fabulous.

a bit outdated, great location

Liked: The hotel is in a great location, which is the main reason why I chose it. A few steps from major midtown sights. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a coffee station in the morning, which is a nice touch. The bed was quite comfy. Room was clean given the age of furniture and carpet. Loved the water pressure in shower.
Disliked: I had one of the smaller rooms - and there was a huge mirror that was limiting the space for moving around. The furniture was a bit outdated, carpet had some older stains and the shower was leaking. It is an older hotel but for short stays I would definitely recommend.

Exceptional

Liked: Very nice area. I loved how close we were to everything. The lobby door men, receptionist at front desk, and the cleaning ladies were very nice. I would definitely stay here again. I loved the lobby with the tree, bar, and fire place. Very nice sitting area to relax in the morning before going out to start your day. The coffee in the lobby was good too.
Disliked: Toilet kept running off and on during the night. Sink was leaking and a little problem with the bathroom door knob. I let the front desk know before I left and they were going to look into it.Room was a little tight but bathroom was great with lots of room. Light in bathroom was awesome.

Liked: Hotel was close to time square, great area to see entertainment.
Disliked: I had to request a bigger room. the first room was very small and had terrible view. But my request for a new room was granted.
