Liked: We normally love to stay at this hotel. We have been customers to this hotel since the day it was brought to Fort Dodge. We had extended family in town for our family Christmas gathering. The hotel now has a rule that no Fort Dodge residents can stay there. So we had to leave.
Disliked: We could not even check in. Because we were Fort Dodge residents, we were turned down. AmericanInn has a rule that no Fort Dodge residents can stay at that hotel. Nothing was posted on their website during the time of making the reservations. In addition, the front desk lady was completely rude. At one point, she even made a comment "do I need to come around the counter". I was just floored at the customer service and how awful she treated me. Will never consider an AmericanInn again.

Liked: Very clean, great staff
Disliked: As always, the bed wasn’t like home. Otherwise the hotel was very good.

Liked: I was refused service for having a local address. I did not stay there.
Disliked: They accepted my online reservation and refused my service when I got there for being a local resident.
