Disliked: Musty, dirty, outdatedA/C was a portable unit sitting in the middle of the floor

Disliked: The ironing board padding was filthy and stained. I flipped it over and there were mice droppings stuck to the cotton backing. I called because the tv was not working, I noticed the cable was unplugged. I plugged it back in, still no one came to check on it. then i called twice for batteries for the remote, i was told some one would be up to bring them....NEVER showed up, I had to stop by the front desk on my way out to get them.

Excellent value, friendly staff

Liked: Very old historic building. Owners were the best and cared about our needs. Dad was a historical mason and the charm of this property is tops.
Disliked: Doors are hard to open and close.

Liked: The room smelled of cat urine. The hotel lobby and hallways have no AC. We went because we had to evacuate due to hurricane and they took advantage of the situation. They purposely changed their normal cancellation policy just for the hurricane. We wanted to cancel one of the two nights after we saw how dirty the hotel was and how bad our room smelled but they refused citing changing the cancellation policy just for this time.

I would not stay here...

Liked: The staff was very courteous. They did send a maintenance person to fix the room door and the sink.
Disliked: The room was dirty. There were soggy corn dogs in the microwave at check in. The sink backed up. The room door did not lock. None of the doors closed (did not fit the frame - too much paint). The shower head leaked. The toilet made noise. The back fire door was next to my room and it slammed at all hours. People would smoke on the stoop and prop open the fire door so smoke entered the property and the room smelled. I evacuated due to hurricane Milton to this hotel because they accepted pets. They did not serve breakfast during this time, which they didn’t advise until check in. Additionally, the website said they did not charge for pets. They charged me $60.00 extra for my cat.
