It sucked

Disliked: Desk person was in the darkened reception area picking up debris. He was polite and greeted us. We checked in and walked through darkened halls. We came upon the Pool area also dark. The door was locked. This motel did not appear to be open for guests. We walked back through the dark hallways to the reception area. We cancelled our room and looked for a motel that appeared to be open. We slept comfortably after using the pool area. We will never even think of going to American Value and will warn others. We tried to contact Booking.com on the phone number provided but could not get a live person to speak with. We would like a refund for this disaster.

Liked: NOTHING. It was so dirty it should be shut down.
Disliked: EVERYTHING. So dirty and gross.

Liked: Location was good and room was clean but was very outdated.
Disliked: Pool wasn't working, restaurant and bar advertised wasn't open. Door key wasn't working most the time took several times to open. Would not go back to this place again.

Disliked: Everything, it was completely run down, building was falling apart. Pool, hot tub and work out room was “out of order” and was the only reason we stayed there. Beds didn’t fit in the frames. Pillows were flat. Carpet was bunching up. It was a complete craphole.

Horrible

Liked: Nothing, it was filthy dirty. It was in a state of disrepair. There was a pool but no disclosure it was out of service. Continental breakfast was a box of cereal and a gallon of milk for everyone there. Do not stay there, I repeat, do not stay there!!!
Disliked: Everything, it was filthy dirty. It was scary just crawling in bed. The walls were so thin you could hear everything in the rooms through out the whole hallway. The TV on the wall was almost falling down. The sheets and towels were stained.

It wasn't a good experience,...

Disliked: When we checked into our room, we went into the bathroom and there was no shower curtain, not even a rod to put one up. Then are room was so far away from the main router we couldn't even watch TV unless hooked to our hotspot. Our drain stopper in the sink was broken so every time we went to the bathroom we had to wash our hands in the bathtub. The bar and pool that were advertised were both closed. The only ice machine that worked was located by the front desk (we had the room the furthest away). When we ran the jacuzzi tub, there was no hot water, same with the shower, it took filling the jacuzzi tub and waiting an hour before we had any hot water in our room. Then as we were getting ready to leave, when my fiancée took stuff out to the car, the outside door stuck so bad that he was locked out of the building and had to walk all the way around to get back in.
