Great accommodations! Friendly, professional staff,...

Liked: The staff was friendly, attentive and willing to answer our questions. They were very polite and respectful and went out of their way to make sure we were being taken care of. Uwajimaya, a wonderful Asian market, is a block away with groceries and tons of prepared food choices from grab and go to take out. Bus and rail access is a short block away and Fuji, a delicious bakery is on the same block and makes delicious coffee and sells incredible looking pastries. Within the Hostel, you'll find several rooms located throughout the building where you can peacefully read, scroll on your phone, visit with your travel partners, play games, put a puzzle together or do art, and the walls are decorated with attractive posters showcasing upcoming local events. Signs everywhere communicate where things are and what the expectations of the Hostel are. The kitchen is well-equipped and had just about everything I expected to need to make a meal and every room I visited was well cleaned. When in Seattle again, I will definitely stay here. This Hostel takes pride in its appearance and customer service and it shows from check-in to check-out.
Disliked: The only negative I found during my stay was the bed. I slept well, so it wasn't that bad, but there was a noticeable groove in it on the right side. Maybe flipping the mattresses occasionally would remedy this. While some reviewers seemed uncomfortable with the amount of homeless folks around the area, they did not bother my friend or I once. We were out walking after dark and felt safe. Not necessarily a negative and one that didn't impact our stay were office hours. The front desk closes at 8 pm, and that may pose an inconvenience for some travelers. It had not bearing on our stay.

Very good

Liked: The staff were really nice and towel was provided free of charge. Each bed had a little fan which was nice too.
Disliked: The area didn't feel the safest to walk around as a solo female traveller and both google maps and uber drivers seemed a bit confused as to where I was trying to go, but I wasn't bothered by anyone.
