Liked: It's a very cute place, basic, but very clean, and in a great location. Excellent value for the price other than the horrible sheets.
Disliked: The sheets were polyester and very very hot. If they invested in cotton sheets, it would be a great experience all around.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff and smooth check in. The room was all good!
Disliked: It wasn’t an issue for me, but there is no elevator to reach the second and third floor, just a spiral staircase. This would be an issue for people with limited mobility or if you have very heavy luggage. Other than that, nothing to dislike.

Great location!

Liked: The location was amazing. So central and walking distance to everything in Montreal down town area. Easy to get around. The hotel itself is really stunning. This old style grand architecture is impressive. The room is very spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the actual room/bed was very clean. The WiFi worked well. The check in and out process was very easy.
Disliked: It is an old building so there is quite a bit of noise that travels. But it was tolerable. The only thing we would change is the door to the bathroom. It was a frosted sliding door. Not only can you see all the silhouettes. But from the sides you could see into the bathroom as there were gaps. The bathroom also had little hairs. But overall it was clean enough. And the actual shower had hot water and good pressure.

Liked: The location was great. Check-in was clear and easy. The room was clean. It was quiet despite it being a cafe and housing for students.
Disliked: Parking was an issue. We had to park two streets down. They state parking in the description but it's not the case. Also, the hallway to the room was filthy.

Exceptional

Liked: Quiet, nice, clean place. Friendly and helpful staff. Just minutes away from the Museum of Fine Arts, and many other attractions. Excellent location!!!

I would come again when...

Liked: Excellent location, great value. It has all one needs for a night stay and charges accordingly.The availability of the coffee shop on site adds a nice touch to this place.
Disliked: I wish there was a kettle in the room or some sort of water fountain/dispenser in the common area.
