Deceptive ad for run-down property.

Liked: Location was good, staff were friendly.
Disliked: The facilities were run down and uninviting. I was really looking forward to staying here and using the thermal pool on-site but ilikened it to bathing under a staircase in an underground carpark. The beds were as old as the last renovations and updates, probably 1970s. The laundry was the same but dank and smelly so we went to the laundromat in town.The ad on booking.com and price didn't reflect reality. I'd expect to and happily pay $90/night.

Pleasant

Liked: I like the walking to all attractions eg Polynesian spa, shopping and restaurants. Had everything we needed for our stay.
Disliked: Water damage in bedroom and bathroom, The pool areas were a bit run down and some PowerPoint were not working.

Disliked: Very noisy, plumbing from other units went allNight. Terrible beds. There were 6 of us and everyone had a poor sleep

Liked: I love the location because it was close to the park for my nephew. The friendliness of the staff was great.
Disliked: The thing that was not good that it said the rooms were sound proof but on the second night my one year old nephew kept waking up as there was a loud banging noise that woke him up quite a few times and he found it a bit hard to settle. Also on the floor down by the tv was some sort of pipes sticking out that could come in and out which was a bit dangerous for my crawling nephew it was behind a shelf which I had to move as my nephew was using it to reach up to the waist height power plugs that made it easier for him to reach. Also our room was directly outside the spa and some of the guests were a little bit noisy at times.Also the shower box was not too clean it needed mold remover. So I didn't wash my nephew in it and husband and got a baby bath so he could sit in that. It really was not kid friendly with PowerPoints too low and accessible. Also I had to put pictures as they were hanging too low and a few things in the bathroom to stop our 1 year old nephew from getting it.The shower head was really low for my husband who is 172cms. Which my husband was not happy as he had to duck down to wash his hair. My nephew called around on carpeted floor and kept getting black on his legs and feet.

A good motel in a...

Liked: Really nice place in a very central location in Rotorua. The motel has everything you could need, all the amenities in each room, making it liveable for probably months on end if required. We stayed for 3 nights and were very comfortable, plenty of space and daily cleaning and towel changes if required.Plenty of facilities on site, 3 pools all heated, on-site laundry facilities ($4 per load for washing or drying) and a drying room.The manager/front desk staff member was very friendly and helped with any query. He provided change for the washing machine, and even allowed us to borrow an umbrella as we explored the town.Highly recommended for anyone coming to stay in Rotorua.
Disliked: If anyone is sensitive to smell, it's very close to the sulphur point in Rotorua, so coming out of the room, it's a very strong smell. There is also a sulphur pool in the motel, so that could also affect people.During our stay, we had some quite loud guests or long term residents, so wasn't as peaceful as we'd have liked but it's liveable.
