The 4-star Boutiquehotel Amadeus is located in a quiet pedestrian street in the heart of historic Salzburg. All rooms were extensively renovated in 2017 and are individually furnished. All rooms are equipped with cable TV and a private bathroom with shower or bath. Coffee tea and a variety of cakes are offered throughout the day in the hotel's medieval vault. Guests are welcome to read one of the free newspapers or enjoy a glass of wine or other beverages from the 24/7 Honesty Bar on one of the sun terraces. Guests can use the computer in the lobby or read some newspapers on the terrace. The attentive front desk staff is happy to help with information about events or tours. Great place to stay in...

Liked: Location was great. We had a spacious, quiet room #12. Loved having cappuccino’s whenever I wanted!
Disliked: Perhaps a few more fruit choices and yogurt at breakfast would be nice.

Perfect for a solo traveller...

Liked: Quirky, pretty hotel in a great location with friendly staff. Everything is within walking distance, and the street is pedestrianised (like most of the central area). The rooms are quiet and I loved not having a rattling fridge in my room - there’s a decent drinks machine and an honesty bar downstairs, and plenty of places to eat nearby (turn right out of the hotel and towards the town centre). I would definitely recommend it, thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely hotel but need tea/...

Liked: Location was excellent . Just 10 minute walk across the river to the Old Town Spacious room and very quiet
Disliked: The real downside to this hotel is that there are no tea / coffee making facilities in the room . It is provided but you have to go down to the ‘dining room’ for it . Also , if you want breakfast , you are restricted to one croissant per person - words fail me on this this Such a lovely hotel but lets itself down with the above

I had a pleasant stay...

Liked: The location is great. Silent, pietonal, beautiful old town street. The interior of the main area is charming.There were fresh apples every day and delicious cake in the afternoon, next to the coffee machine.
Disliked: These are some negative things that in the end didn’t count much, because I still enjoyed the stay and felt sorry to leave: The small room was really small, with the view obstructed by the white church wall, so that it felt, like there was no window (room 42).The TV was very slow, like 5sec to change between the 3 available channels (ORF 1-3). The shower gel/shampoo and cream were smelling like old, but my hair still looked great afterwards, since I didn’t bring some (so maybe it was not so old?). There is no classic breakfast, there are just little croissants, always just few of them on a plate, which gives you the impression, you can only have one out of respect for the other guests. there is coffee and tea.
