Restful stay at the Altnaharra
Liked: The location was perfect. I have never felt so relaxed during and after a stay. The food was excellent and value for money. Really terrific breakfast cooked to perfection. Very good service that exceeded my expectations. Thank you to Valentin and Henry - fabulous customer service!
Disliked: Can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.

Relaxing, quiet and comfortable
Liked: What a lovely find. We veered off the NC500 route as there wasn’t any last minute places to stay. Altnaharra is a lovely comfortable and quirky hotel, with a very relaxing atmosphere, ran at this time single handed by a helpful and friendly chap. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend an off the route stay here as there are plenty of walks around.

Exceptional
Liked: Set in a stunningly beautiful location. It's a privilege to be able to stay here, wish we could have stayed longer than our overnight stop. Lovely evening meal and great cooked breakfast.

Brilliant
Liked: Absolutely a great food in the restaurant with in an older built hotel. I was in the quiet court away from the main hotel and loved the peaceful relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very happy stay: comfy, peaceful,...
Liked: I loved the very comfy bed, the hot bath with great hot water, yay, and the lounges, and decor and food looks really good, and the perfect setting, near fields, next to a creek, and a stone bridge, with a gorgeous drive to get there from Tongue, only about 25 minutes inland from the NC500. Well worth the fun drive. I loved the staff;Henry was very warmly welcoming and Valentine stood in the entry doorway, to wave us off, My Assistance Dog, Tarkina, and I.
Disliked: Nothing to not like.
