Exceptional
Liked: We stayed on the 6th floor for a night out. In the old port. The room was beautiful. The view was even better from the room. It was beautiful to look out the massive windows at night with all the lights and just as beautiful the next morning. The bar down stairs in the lobby made fantastic drinks they have a pool table in the lobby as well. We sadly left without trying the breakfast or anything else in the hotel beside the bar and enjoying the room. But it was very nice we will for sure go back and stay again my new favorite hotel in oldport.

On average
Liked: The hotel is ok, clean and functional for a short stay. The rooms are nice and there is laundry service (for a fee) and fitness room (free).Unfortunately, there is a charge for breakfast and it’s almost all packaged goods. Absolutely not worth it: around the hotel there are many nice and good little places to have breakfast, I recommend going to one of them. On top of that, the parking service is obscenely overpriced and the front desk staff barely shows basic education, giving customers disgusted looks for absolutely no reason. They do very little to make you feel welcomed. This is the third franchise hotel we are staying in within a week, and it’s the first time we have been treated with this coldness and sufficiency.

No internet and barking dogs...
Liked: Rooms are always spotless, and Chris is always so welcoming at the bar.
Disliked: When I made the reservation I requested the top floor (6). When I arrived I was told there wasn’t any available. When I got up to my room, there was a German shepherd that was nonstop barking 2 doors down. I figured it would quiet down at bedtime, so I got myself settled in and headed downstairs to go out to dinner. On the way out I mentioned the barking to the woman who checked me in, and she offered to move me to the top floor, which is what I requested in the first place and upon arrival was told there weren’t any available?? I told her I had already unpacked and that hopefully it was quiet at bedtime. It wasn’t! I had to call down 3 times. Night number 2, no dog, but the person next to me came through the door at 2am and did nothing but slam things around until 4:30am. So needless to say, no sleep for 2 nights. Also, NO INTERNET! The woman at the front desk just blew me off when I asked about it, but then I heard from Chris at the bar that it’s a constant complaint from travelers! I travel there for work, so needless to say, I didn’t get much work done. So disappointed! This was my 3rd time staying here. The first 2 times I didn’t have any obnoxious guests or barking dogs, and I had hoped they fixed the internet issue, but no. This is a Marriott property. I expect so much more from them. Too many places to choose from. I doubt I’ll go back unfortunately.

Modern hotel with a hip...
Liked: Breakfast was mediocre. It costs $20 per person and you get a breakfast sandwich or wrap plus a cold brew coffee. Next time, I'll go out for breakfast for more choices and a better price.
Disliked: The parking situation is a mess. There is no pull-up spot for unloading while checking in. They have a single, crowded lane for valet. It's $40 per night for valet, but there are plenty of nearby on-street spaces. This should or could have been explained better in advance. And the valet parkers were confused about what alternatives there are. I recommend parking on the street.
