Not worth the mess up.
Liked: The location is wonderful and within walking distance of anything you may want to see in downtown Louisville. The rooms were very nice and clean. There is a bar on site with outdoor seating. The staff was nice and very helpful.
Disliked: The small issue I had was the overpriced parking because Aloft doesn't have it's own parking structure or validate parking for the structure next door. This isn't terrible and is to be expected in a downtown tourist area. $22 a night can add up though. The biggest issue was with billing. I reserved my room for 2 nights through booking.com and paid the bill in full a few days before I arrived. Once I got there, unknown to me, Aloft charged me another $500. $100 was incidentals that should be reimbursed. After speaking with them I was a told there was a misunderstanding somewhere and I should be getting paid back but it wasn't what I originally paid through booking or what they charged me after the fact. I should be getting the entire $500 back but that doesn't seem to be the math they are using. I've received a new "folio" but it doesn't match anything I've been charged. And I haven't seen a dime of it returned yet. It was a nice place but definitely not worth the now $800+ staying there cost.

Overpriced, underwhelming
Liked: There was no dedicated parking, it was close but totally separate from the hotel, they didn't validate parking, We stayed for 2 nights, they didn't change the sheets which was fine if stated up front. They didn't replace the towels or the coffee in the room. The coffee in the room was the tiniest coffee pot, 1 cup at a time, was not great coffee. I travel with Keurig cups so I can brew what I like but not available. The coffee in the lobby was limited, we left at quarter to 7 in the morning and was not available. There wasn't anybody at the front desk when we went to leave so we just left. The bar wasn't open during the day for drinks or snacks, the breakfast was limited and wasn't included (cheaper hotels have it why not you?) Overall it was okay, I wouldn't stay at this hotel in Louisville for that price again.
Disliked: The room, the maid service, the bar, the lack of breakfast/coffee/anything. A restaraunt during the day. Parking included.

A good choice for downtown...
Liked: Hotel is very stylish, has a great location and convenient pay parking. Laundry facilities are downstairs with a great-looking fitness area. They provide either valet parking or self parking, and you can use airport style luggage carts for loading/unloading. Although crowded with conference attendees and folks for at least one wedding, it was still very comfortable.
Disliked: There was a breakfast pay area that I was never able to get to work with my credit card, which was very inconvenient on one conference day (I didn't eat anything until lunch). It would have been nice to have a microwave in my room to go along with the small refrigerator, because I ended up eating breakfast in my room daily. An electric teapot would have been nice (I brought one that I travel with).

Convenient to our destination.
Liked: Convince to my events.
Disliked: Checking in was terrible as the front desk girl at 6pm wasn’t friendly and obviously didn’t want to be there. She couldn’t find my second paid reservation and then I had to ask for my prepaid breakfast vouchers. The same girl the next morning for breakfast didn’t put in half our order but the nice African American girl in the kitchen was sweet and very helpful in getting it taking care of. Saturday evening we came back late only to find that our room had not been cleaned or fresh towels. Went to the desk and a young man was very helpful and explained that they only do every other day. I explained that we weren’t informed of this at check in but would like fresh towels and 2 extra pillows. This front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. He had towels and pillows brought up to our room asp. (Great service). Then upon checkout the same lady from Friday night and Saturday morning was working. She was more interested in txting on her phone than checking me out. When I asked her for a printed receipt she continued to txted on her phone as I wasn’t evening standing there. I wanted to get her name but she conveniently had her name tag turned backwards and at her hip so you couldn’t ready it. As this being my 1st time staying at an aloft and being a Marriott member. I would not choose this brand in their chain. Thank you for time. Catherine Jones.

Close to conference center and...
Liked: Great location and good food.
Disliked: Room was not cleaned daily, which is fine, but a place take trash or way to to dispose of it would have been nice.
