Central hotel which was beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The room was modern, stylish and very clean looking without being clinical! Beautiful hotel which I would look forward to returning to.

Beautiful surroundings, great value- will...

Liked: What a beautiful hotel! So many glamorous original features, but with 21st century comfort and convenience. The room we got first was lovely but had a poor view, so the team kindly found us a better room with a better view for no extra cost. The room was comfortable and clean, and we had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. Downstairs the bar area was peaceful and comfortable with lovely staff. Great value and will definitely stay again.
Disliked: The bathroom is a weird layout where it's split either side of the entrance door to the room. It did give enough privacy for a relaxed couple, however. The bar food was pricey and lukewarm, but to be fair to them, we ate at an odd time (4p.m. on a Sunday evening), when the kitchen wasn't fully up and running.

Central, comfortable, and quiet

Liked: The hotel is central (10 min walk from Lime Street station), in an old converted building. The room was quiet and comfortable, though the view looked directly into a room from another building so I mostly left the curtains closed for privacy. There were lots of great restaurants in the surrounding streets, and the breakfast offered a standard selection of pastries, cereals, and cooked breakfast.
Disliked: The rooms advertised were very minimalist and modern looking whereas the one I actually stayed in was quite busy in its decoration - not a criticism, just different from the pictures online.
