Liked: There was absolutely nothing I liked about my stay at Aloft Coral Gables. From start to finish, the experience was riddled with dishonesty, discomfort, and poor service. Not a single aspect of this hotel met even basic expectations for guest satisfaction.
Disliked: My recent stay at Aloft Coral Gables was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The experience was riddled with dishonesty, discomfort, and appalling customer service.First, the hotel imposes a compulsory valet service, allegedly for “security purposes.” This was not mentioned anywhere on the booking site or in the terms and conditions, leaving me blindsided upon arrival. As someone with severe allergy issues, I am deeply uncomfortable with strangers entering my vehicle. Despite expressing my concerns, the staff dismissed me outright and refused to offer alternatives. When I asked to see the security policy booklet they kept referring to, it was never provided—a clear indication that their claims were either exaggerated or entirely fabricated.To make matters worse, this valet service is supposedly available 24/7, but that was a blatant lie. I needed access to my car late at night, only to discover that no one was on duty, leaving me stranded and frustrated.As for the room itself, it was freezing, with no way to adjust the temperature. The staff’s response? A shrug and an unhelpful comment about how “that’s just how the system works.” Comfort clearly isn’t a priority here.The icing on the cake was the rude and dismissive staff at every turn. They showed no empathy, offered no solutions, and made me feel like an inconvenience for simply voicing legitimate concerns.This hotel fails on every front—misleading policies, poor service, and a complete lack of care for guest comfort or well-being. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.

Disliked: My problems started on 12/30 when the airline canceled my flight SXM MIA. The airline managed to get me a new flight but changed the airport to FLL. I tried with Booking and this hotel to get them to change my stay to FLL or cancel the fee. Booking said it was up to the hotel to give an answer. The hotel never responded to Booking. The hotel in turn said it needed a call from the airline to explain the reasons why my flight had been canceled. The email about the cancellation and the new flight were not enough. Since I was unable to get the change or cancellation, I stayed at the hotel with my original reservation. I landed in FLL, drove to Coral Gables (1:30 hours) and the next day drove back to FLL (1:30 hours) for my next flight. When I got to the airport I realized I had forgotten my medication in the refrigerator in the hotel room. I called the hotel on 01/01/2025 and Ramona from the front desk arranged for my medication to be stored in the refrigerator so it could be sent to me. I got someone to pick up the medication and I notified Ramona. She said that even if she wasn't at the hotel, all employees would be aware of the delivery at any time and to the person I informed who would pick it up. The person went to pick up the medication on the night of 01/04/2025. The front desk informed him that the medication was in a locked room and that they didn't have the key. Only the next day and in the morning. They called Ramona who said that no one had the key and that they would send my medication free of charge. I was supposed to send a new email with my address. Since then, none of the 3 emails have been answered. I've been trying to contact her by phone for two days and she's not there. The person who answers for her in her absence doesn't return the call.

Disliked: I indicated on the website that I didn’t need Room Service. The cleaners went into the room twice anyway. I ran out of soap on the first day.
