Loved the decor - it was upbeat as soon as you walk in the door! Greeted by outgoing staff, great music and funky designed spaces. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The mattress and sheets were so soft! Loved that the room had an AC control that actually let us make it as cool as we wished and black out shades so we could sleep in. Bliss spa prodcuts provided in the room was such an added bonus. We will definitely be staying at Aloft again in our future travels!

Very interesting decor; really comfortable king sized mattress; lobby/bar area awesome; great pod chairs!

Liked: Clean; comfy; great price; great complimentary coffee.
Disliked: Heat/air controls were a little off.

Disappointing

Liked: I liked the location but only because of the needs I had during my stay in the city.
Disliked: There are many things that I did not enjoy during my stay. I had asked for my room to be cleaned or tided up every day, instead of every other day. My room was not cleaned for 2 days, despite being out of the room all day. Also, the water had gone out early one day and management did not send an email until later that night. Even when the water seemed to have come back, the water from the toilet, sink and shower smelled like feces and was cloudy. Then, I went to the lobby to get a snack and those snacks that I checked in the fridge, were expired. The bed was comfortable but the sheets/pillows were incredibly itchy. Unfortunately, after staying in multiple Marriot Bonvoy hotel partners, this is a constant issue.

Great location and comfortable room.

Liked: The location and the clean, bright, modern and spacious rooms!
Disliked: Over booked on the night we checked in. They made us a wait about 45 minutes while they wrote a letter to the Sheraton so we could get a room there. They said we would not be charged anything extra as the 2 hotels operated as one. The next morning I saw 2 damage deposit withdrawals on my credit card! Had to speak to them to get charge refunded.

I’d stay again. Mainly because...

Liked: I really enjoyed the location of the hotel.. it was minutes from shopping plaza and clothing stores and restaurants.
Disliked: I wish the room had microwave.. cause once you got in your room your meal might cold but I didn’t want to go back down to the lobby. Because I did come to NY for work I worked a lot in my room and chair at the desk was not a office chair very uncomfortable. But I had no choice but to make it work .

It was amazing

Liked: I love the location of the hotel. It’s by train stations and places to eat so I didn’t have to leave downtown Brooklyn.

Liked: Nicely situated close to the public transport and shopping centre. Apartments are nice
Disliked: Sometimes you can hear neughbors in the other apartment as walls does not supress the sound much. Cleaningness in hallways and elevators.

Will stay again

Liked: Great location, nice lobby. Room floor plan was great. Had plenty of space for luggage and toiletries, etc. I appreciated the in room coffee and fruit water in the lobby. Also nice music in the lobby. No problems with late night noise.
Disliked: Had trouble getting things replenished. Every day we were missing towels or coffee sachets. But the staff always brought them after I asked so it wasn’t a huge deal
