Nice stay and will stay...
Liked: Nice facility with adequate amenities. Clean and modern atmosphere.
Disliked: Temperature in the room was not well controlled. Too cold or too warm and I wanted the fan to stay on low but it shut off with A/C cycling

Just meh
Liked: Staff was exceptional. Very friendly, kind, and made us feel most welcomed and valued. Great location. Decently quiet, though the occasional siren or engine rev could still be heard. Property was pet friendly, we heard a couple dogs barking, but never for too long. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Property and room were lackluster. Bathroom was in need of a major scrub due to scum on glass , mildew on shower tiles, and hair/dust bunnies in the corners of the toilet and sink areas. Towels were embedded with stray hairs. Property seems to be old. Looks like they purchased an older hotel, renamed, gave a “face lift” and never looked back. AC unit was functional, albeit an older unit, it was very noisy and feast or famine when it came to keeping the room cool/air circulated. Carpet was stale/old, worn, and mismatched - needs to be cleaned at minimum. Room lighting was weird. Could use some actual lamps.

I enjoyed my visit at...
Liked: The breakfast was good with adequate selections. The property was attractive and well maintained. The GYM had some good equipment, but needed a little maintenance. The screens on the Lifecycles didn't work as designed. The cold water source in the GYM facility was broken. The flat panel TV was nearly "dead". It only had one panel of the LCD screen working, which made everything "purple". I still completed my workouts, so it still did the job.
Disliked: I was billed for my pet bird. I was informed after arriving that my bird would cost me $50/night. The only thing that the website provided was the reassurance that the property was "pet friendly", but made no mention of additional fees for pets, which I found a little suspect (money grab). Though my room was billed as allowing double occupancy, I was the only occupant in the room, except for my bird, who stayed in his cage and behaved himself. I witnessed other guests with children who were less well behaved. I hope I made my point. When I checked in, I noticed that my booking had me listed as being from Amsterdam, Netherlands. I'm from New Orleans. I corrected my information with the concierge, and signed up to be a Marriot membership. The next day, I reviewed my charges and found out that additional billing appeared on my credit card. I checked with the concierge on duty, who informed me of the pet fee, to my surprise. I also found out that my information was again reflecting that I lived in Amsterdam. She was kind enough to correct the entry. Not sure how this happens, but it was unusual.
