Would be a lovely place...

Liked: The location was great.
Disliked: The cleanliness was appalling. Floors were dirty and sticky bathroom. I had to clean before I used the kitchen. Utilities were absolutely disgusting. Very disappointing. in the four days seen staff once asked staff for toilet paper. Staff didnt have very good English.

Liked: Close to shops
Disliked: Poor communication. Room paid for unavailable and a long wait to find out why and I had to do all the calling. Eventually got moved to another of their properties nearby where the rooms were better but the service still poor. As we didn't sleep there I'm not sure what the room and bathroom were like. The shared kitchen was very dirty. Not enough parking.

A roof over my head...

Liked: Bed was comfy
Disliked: Needed both hands to open the front door. I was always carrying something into my room. Maybe a side table beside front doo. Have to key the code and hold the door. Bathroom door needs replacing. A bedside table would have been useful. A separate container for coffee, tea & sugar instead of breakfast bowl.

Ok for the price

Liked: The location was good. You get what you pay for.
Disliked: Could have been cleaner and there was only 1 cup for coffee in the morning

Stay was good, value for...

Liked: Like the kitchen facility and secured parking, the room had amenities that we were expecting and were really value for money. The premises were clean and tidy. We used the kitchen for one night and it has everything that is needed for basic cooking. The vending machine was helpful and my daughter used it for an easy snack.
Disliked: The carpet was not super clean, it could be better. However, that didn't bother us much as we came here for a shorter stay.

Disappointing

Liked: Own private bathroom. No key needed all pin locked
Disliked: Carpet was extremely stained and holes in the bathroom door. Ad stated off street parking but only enough parking for 4 cars

Liked: The rooms floor was quite messy and the shower had a leak onto the carpet, this made the room damp , I got a headache from that , still have it now 24hrs later

Convenient location, requires a major...

Liked: Very close to the train station at Waratah.
Disliked: I booked online through booking.com at another place but was contacted a week before my stay to inform me they had to book me in to a different place due to my booking being given to a long term resident. I would not have stayed here if I had not already paid and had been notified earlier. Other guests were noisy, kids out of control and running around screaming and no parenting skills at all from the kids parents. Sound proofing was extremely bad and you could hear people on the street and in the building talking, slamming doors, arguments and other guests TV’s and music. Other guests were quite disturbing looking, were unfriendly, looked like meth heads straight out of Jail. Did not have a good feeling staying there, constantly having to be aware of one’s surrounds. Very few car parks, even hard to find a car park on the street due to them all being taken by local residents as most properties in the area have no off road parking. The cars parked in the allocated area never moved the whole time I was there.Traffic noise was quite bad at times. At times the train noise was quite loud but having lived near a train line before I did not mind as you get use to it very quickly and it was quite nostalgic.If anyone was cooking in the common kitchen the smells infiltrated the room, some were pleasant others not so. Common kitchen area had mail strewn all over a large table, it looked very uninviting.Carpet was very dirty, stained, and badly worn and needs replacement. The supplied desk in the room was beyond its service life and looks like it was picked up from a verge junk collection. Bed and mattress quite uncomfortable inner spring.Shower, though clean had in ground mould in all corners and badly requires new grouting.To be honest it looks like a slumlord is owner of the place. If it was given a make over I am sure the quality of guests and the stay would improve greatly as the location is quite good for getting out and about Newcastle by Train.
