Liked: Lady on reception was lovely. Very friendly to my elderly father
Disliked: Nothing really. Single rooms were a little small but managed ok.Car parking tricky that day due to cockermouth event. OK for me but had to drop my elderly father off on his own and go back to him.

Pleasant for the main.

Liked: Breakfast was good. Location a bit noisy late night.
Disliked: Being on the 2nd floor and no lift. No toilet roll holder. Just on the top of the cistern. The other thing was early closing of the bar even for residents.

Good stay at Allerdale Hotel

Liked: Heart of Cockermouth. Good price, excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Restaurant was closed the night we stayed.

Liked: Good location. The room was clean and bright. King sized bed was comfortable with good pillows. Very large bathroom.
Disliked: It’s in an old building so the floors were very uneven and there are small steps and awkward doorways.There was no management on site the weekend we visited. They were very short staffed in the kitchen, front of house etc. Staff could not cope with a large party (not us) and all the other guests. We had a long wait both at evening meal and breakfast. I voiced my dissatisfaction and was given a discount, however I was assured management would contact me within a few days. I’m still waiting 3weeks later.
