Cozy hotel near main piazza

Liked: The room was spacious & and cozy, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near main tourist spots such as the main piazza, castle and the old town.
Disliked: The toilet bowl seat was moving a little, and the bidet space was squeezy.

Liked: Great position, nice rooms (very good taste). Memory foam pillows, very appreciated.
Disliked: Breakfast was very small in terms of choice, no milk at the table. Packed sweets.The shower sewer was slow.TV was little.

Liked: Clean room, good lovation. The bed was a little hard but I slept well.
Disliked: The parking was not easy to find. I used an open underground car park but after doing 3 laps. My fault, Imshould have ask!

Liked: Made to feel welcome on arrival. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel in a good location for all tourist activities and transport. Breakfast was OK.
Disliked: There was no adequate control of the room temperature, which was too hot to be comfortable.

Wish we had stayed somewhere...

Liked: Good location and nice exterior of historic building. Unfortunately the interior has had a disappointing contemporary makeover and our room was soulless with characterless built-in furniture.
Disliked: Very stuffy room at front of hotel facing noisy street. Receptionist refused to turn on a/c, saying we "could open the window" instead. I explained that would mean we wouldn't be able to sleep because of the noise in the street. Receptionist replied that we "shouldn't stay in a city if we didn't want a noisy hotel room". Weirdest receptionist we have ever found, twisting all criticisms trying to say they were our fault. Breakfast very poor, cheap supermarket food, mouldy fruit under plastic from night before, bad coffee. We went to excellent bakery with coffee down the road on second morning. I asked for a receipt at checkout but when it didn't appear after 5 minutes I peered around the back and found the Receptionist was just sitting there staring at a blank computer screen to annoy me. A very strange and unsatisfactory experience.
