Liked: Room decor was nice and clean. Staff were nice. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very hot even with the fan on and the windows open

Poor value for money

Disliked: The room is tiny for 2 people, restaurant food (not including breakfast) was very poor. The service from staff is very mediocre

Disliked: Bathroom was a little shabby. the toilet seat wouldnt stay up, the bin was very dented, the ceiling had damp and peeling paint

Comfortable stay and nice location.

Liked: Breakfast was reasonably good but didn't use the restaurant. The staff serving breakfast were v friendly and attentive.
Disliked: Being picky the tea provided at breakfast wasn't half as nice as the tea in bedroom (PGTips).

Great venue for a wedding...

Disappointing

Liked: The property looked really nice from the outside. The bar area was lovely too. The breakfast was very nice - great bacon.
Disliked: Our room was such a let down. For the money; I was genuinely surprised at how bad it was. The window net had mould on it. The room was absolutely tiny. The bed was a small double so it felt tiny. There was only one milk so we couldn’t both have a cup big tea in the morning! The bathroom was mouldy in the edges. The shower and ceiling fan in the bathroom have clearly never been cleaned. It was just not worth the price tag. I’ve stayed in much nicer places for a lot less. Breakfast - the staff (with the exception of one man) were very grumpy and just disinterested. We waited a long time to be seated until we just walked in. We had to stop someone and ask for tea. The woman that looked in charge of breakfast walked around with a scowl and did not smile once even when we made eye contact. She also ignored us whilst we waited for our breakfast to be served at the buffet counter (not self serve).
