Liked: Beds were quite comfy, kitchen was never too busy and there were new cookers going in when I was checking out

Liked: Reception staff very friendly& obliging.Room good, hostel let down by kitchen & eating area.Had a think about this & decided it might be because you use young male backpackers to clean & look after these areas. We also stayed at the YHA Freo prison hostel where the kitchen & eating areas were always clean & tidy. Why the difference? Maybe because Freo had paid, permanent staff who knew what hygiene standards to maintain.

People were sweet but the...

Liked: People were sweet
Disliked: People sleept on sofas, everything was just dirty and worn down. I was only there for one night and that was more than enough
