Hot rooms, hotel becoming tatty,...

Liked: The hotel is huge and quite corporate feeling which is no problem. However, it’s already becoming slightly tatty and dated as the quality of the finish is poor. It feels like the hotel was built cheaply. Again, fine, but not for €220 euros a night without breakfast. The room was very hot (this was late March). Thermostat in the room read 24 degrees which is really uncomfortable for sleeping. It wasn’t cold outside but they had the heating on constantly and no option to use AC. They ‘turned off’ the air in our room but it made no difference. Windows don’t open much so that didn’t help. Had to ask for a fan. Again fine but not at €220 a night… The saving grace of the hotel were the staff. They were all excellent. Really helpful, friendly and efficient. They didn’t quite make up for the below par hard product but they were really good and spoke great English too if that’s important. Many thanks to you all.

A decent choice for Bologna

Liked: Located in a quiet area. Very helpful front desk staff recommended two nearby-ish restaurants for us. Room was a decent size and had a good shower. Breakfast was good, comfortable and shower was very good. For a city hotel, pricing was good.
Disliked: The hotel is probably at least a 20 minute walk from the centre of Bologna; ok for us but maybe not everyone. UHT milk cartons need more frequent change. No complimentary water. WiFi struggled with a few sites. Relatively small things to fix, but probably the difference between a 8 or 9 for me.

Liked: Great hotel, lovely warm welcome from reception staff, easy parking, lovely large room with stunning views and pleasant 10/15 mins walk to centre of gorgeous Bologna
