Ok but not great
Liked: The location was great.
Disliked: Bathroom was tiny, handle on the toilet kept not working, bathtub wouldn't drain, tv kept looking scrambled and could hear the upstairs people walking way more than other hotels by far.

Good
Liked: Location and view were great
Disliked: First time in a standard room and it lacked basics. No microwave, no coffee maker, - apparently there was a commons area that had these things but that is too inconvenient.

Decent but very disappointing.
Liked: Location was great! Right out on the Beach from the entrance.
Disliked: Marketing is a deceptive by design. The hotel faces West - so when choosing a room, we choose a West Queen Deluxe. The room faced North, not West. The hotel staff first stated that Booking.com was the reason it was mislabeled, then a second employee stated the building was West Building and East Building. Since there are dozens of complaints for that reason, it's obvious the hotel owners rely upon this misleading description to complete against other properties located nearby. If you decide to stay - make sure you reserve a King room on the 4th Floor. The room does face north but the windows are angled for the view one would expect from a West Facing room in an ocean front hotel on the west coast. The sound proofing between the floors is non-existent, as described in multiple reviews, so best to stay on the top floor. The King rooms on the 3rd floor are located under the 4th Floor Picked Fish restaurant - anyone walking above sounds like stomping.Went to the restaurant to watch sunset and have dessert. Again, the West Facing tables were unavailable to sit at since they wanted to "Close" the section. I would need someone to explain the logic of closing the best tables to view the sunset at 20 minutes before sunset occurs. We also choose this hotel due to it being Pet Friendly. We scoured the Booking.com website and there was no mention of a $30 pet fee anywhere. Again, front desk staff blamed Booking.com stating that it was them not showing a fee - but on competitive properties in the Long Beach area, the pet fee was clearly shown. We had no maid service, despite placing the hanger on the door at 8:30 AM til 4:00 PM asking for it to be cleaned. When mentioned at check out - there was no response from the desk clerk.Honesty and clear non deceptive communication would have set our expectations correctly - receiving a water front room, not a north facing overlooking a parking lot with the lights beaming into the room.

Great location, wonderful staff, wish...
Liked: Lobby and staff were wonderful, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious! My room, for the price, was just a really strange room. You almost walk into the sink upon entry, was hard to get into the little bathroom and door covered the toilet paper holder. Bathroom was tiny, but the other side of the bed had lots of empty space, so overall just cramped. Pillows also thin and cheap. Location great.
