Liked: Convenient location, room was spacious
Disliked: The pool area is quite small and could have more facilities, could also have more/better options of alcoholic drinks on room service, listed as a boutique hotel so I had high expectations but it’s mid.

Underwhelming

Liked: Adelphi is iconic in Melb and I had high expectations. What I found was a very old not 5 star hotel. Was very underwhelmed with room details and even the rooftop pool also famous in melbourne was so dated and old looking pool and surrounds.
Disliked: It was very old and dated and did not give that 5 star feel for the price we paid. $500 a night you expect to me top 5 star facilities.

Liked: Location spot on. Hotel reception is funky.Staff extremely lovely, especially Irish receptionist.Welcome drinks, free snacks in room, coffee machine a bonus & ice cold drinks FREE.Barrista coffee & beautiful pastries included in stay.100% stay again.Bonus-rooftop pool!
Disliked: No plug next to bed.

Liked: Perfect location , spacious comfortable rooms, very friendly staff

Liked: Lovely boutique hotel, well styled & perfectly situated for fun city things. Very sweet touches like handwritten notes & a bottle of sparkling to celebrate our anniversary booking were much appreciated also.
Disliked: A bit noisy late on a weekend night due to the lane location, but probably fair enough for the same reason!

Fabulous location, large room, needs...

Liked: The location is superb, perfect for the shops, Fed Square, the river, literally all on your doorstep. The rooms was large and felt spacious and it was nice to have all the snacks in the room included.
Disliked: The pool was disappointing, the stairwell leading up to it had buckets to collect a leak and was very tired looking. The outside stairs were also in need of a lick of paint. The pool is small and not very warm. The breakfast option was pastries and an apple or banana plus a coffee. No juice and no other food options. There is also a bar but you cannot get an alcoholic beverage apart from a bottled beer and a glass of bubbly. All a bit strange.
