Unpleasant stay due to the...

Liked: Good location, clean and spacious room and comfortable beds.
Disliked: The reason for the rate of 5 out of 10 is that the toilet was smelling like sewage all day and night. This smell was unbearable and we couldn’t sleep at night due to the smell coming from the bathroom. Going to the toilet was extremely uncomfortable because we couldn’t breathe normally due the smell. For the price of the room this is unacceptable.And the fact that this issue was not mentioned to us upon our arrival was unacceptable as well. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Liked: Personal experience . I had forgotten an item in the room and called th. They retrieved it and I was able to pick it up the next day. Great to have a trustworthy staff ! Thank you very much!

Liked: It was very convenient to everything, busses, metro etc.,the reception staff was very helpful with directions. The building was lovely ,old architecture.The restaurant/bar next door to the hotel had a great manageress ,she was very entertaining with her stories and cocktail making.
Disliked: It was a bit noisy in our room,we could hear the moving of beds by the cleaners in the morning, and we could hear the conversations from the people in the next room.A fridge in the room would have been nice.

Nice boutique hotel to stay...

Liked: Nice and pleasant boutique hotel in the city center close to the park and metro. We are grateful for early check-in. Good coffee and fresh breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing.

Very disappointing stay!

Liked: Location is not convenient. It is the same breakfast served in the restaurant. You can serve eggs in different ways but sunny side up is served daily.
Disliked: The housekeeper is not doing a good clean in our room or maybe other rooms too. The dust in our lamp on the table is there from Day 1 to day 5( length of our stay). Paper on the floor is the same. Obviousely the housekeeper is not cleaning the room but just arranging the bed.

Great location, lovely building but...

Liked: Great location on the edge of El Carmen district and only 5 minutes walk to the cathedral. Lovely old building in a quiet street. We had a top floor room with a terrace and although the mixed weather and short stay meant we didn't make use of it, it provided natural light and ventilation.
Disliked: The smell in the bathroom, mentioned in several reviews, was pretty overpowering when we first arrived, and remained throughout our 2 night stay. It resembled rotten eggs or sulphur. We didn't mention it to reception as it was also in the hotel lobby so there's clearly a wider sewerage issue. Given the room price it should be resolved.
