Wouldn't stay again - too...

Liked: Front desk person was friendly, location is great.
Disliked: SUPER loud, absolutely impossible to sleep. Bed was not comfortable and the shower set up was very odd, making it hard to close the door.While the front desk staff was friendly, I never got the promised emailed receipt for my stay and no matter what time I called, I never got through to a real person.PSA that this is not an accessible hotel. There is a steep flight of steps upon entry and no elevator. This was not well advertised on their website.

fantastic, unpretentious hotel

Liked: We've stayed at the Ace twice now, and it's our favorite Seattle hotel: cute but non-pretentious, very friendly, in a great location near the water and some wonderful Belltown restaurants, and dog friendly.

We couldn't have asked for...

Liked: I liked the eccentric decor. To me, the room had an "artist loft" feel. The barn door between the toilet and shower was especially interesting. And the retro turntable (which I could never figure out how to operate) and radio (which I did use) added to the quirky furnishings. The bed was very comfortable.We arrived mid-morning but check-in was not until 3pm. However, the desk employee found us a vacant room and checked us in. In fact, the employees with whom we dealt were phenomenal! Tracy, Christine, and Autumn were more than accommodating. Their friendly demeanor made our trip to Seattle even more enjoyable.
Disliked: I would have been nice to have an elevator, as we had to lug large suitcases up and down the stairs.
