Accommodation was 5 star; staff were welcoming and friendly; breakfast was the best ever and the room was cleaned to high standard and very complimentary.

Liked: Everything from cleanliness, staff, breakfast and bar; nothing was too much for the staff - very welcoming.
Disliked: Hotel bar is a little pricey.

Liked: The room was roasting. The aircon did not work and was stuck at 25 degrees. We informed the staff on the desk when we went out for the evening after checking in and were assured it would be fixed. It was not and we both had a terrible night's sleep. In the morning when I complained the desk staff told me repeatedly that the night team had fixed it despite the fact that it was clearly still broken and stick on 25 degrees

Disliked: Staff at the hotel tried to charge £70 more than when the booking was made, took a while to sort it. Room wasn’t ready until late afternoon and was given a double rather than a twin room

Great location for central Manchester.

Liked: Great location for central Manchester. In a quiet area next to the quays, convenient for snacks and a coffee. Parking, but not lots of it. Nice room, but it did need a couple of repairs which was disappointing for a Marriott and would have expected better.
