Absolute Hotel Paris République, Paris

Superb

Liked: Location is fantastic, very close to Republique station as well as Goncourt and Belleville. Not sure if I got upgraded but I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the "single" room - I had a double bed and a build in wardrobe and liked the view onto the street. I didn't notice any noise from the bar downstairs at all. All rooms in Paris are small so I was really happy with the size. Yes the hotel is a bit old but it's clean and the staff were nice. And it has a lift. Shower is amazing (good water pressure and very hot!)
Disliked: Was all pretty good. Room might have felt a bit smaller if I was travelling with another person. The price I think is standard for Paris.

Disliked: my room door wasn’t filling the entire door frame. the shape of the door was too small to in the upper part there was a hole and i could hear everything and be heard by anyone

Disliked: A little dirty, the radiator had a bad sewage smell

Disappointing Stay – Room and...

Disliked: I recently stayed at this hotel in Paris and was quite disappointed with my experience. The room I was given looked nothing like the photos on the website. It was very plain, lacking any artwork or decor, making it feel cold and uninviting. The curtains looked dated, and the bed frame was peeling. The paint job in the room was also sloppy and unfinished in places.The issues extended beyond just the room. The common areas were in need of serious upkeep. There was peeling wallpaper, worn and peeling floors, and dirty carpeting throughout. The overall appearance of the hotel suggested it hadn’t been properly maintained in quite some time, which made for an uncomfortable stay.While the location was convenient, the condition of the room and common areas really let this hotel down. I expected more based on the photos and the price point, but unfortunately, it fell short in many areas. I would not recommend staying here until some major updates are made.
